Our Mission is to Demystify the LP Perspective to Empower Emerging Managers and the VC Ecosystem

OpenLP is a resource for the venture capital community.

By sharing content from across the VC ecosystem, we help GPs, LPs, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders develop a greater understanding of the venture market and the technology startup ecosystem.

Why OpenLP

LPs, the firms and institutions that invest in venture capital funds, have historically been quiet when it comes to lending their perspective. That’s why several years ago, Sapphire Partners set out to provide transparency into the LP mindset by launching OpenLP.

We wanted emerging and established managers, as well as the entrepreneurs they invest in, to have an open book of insights that would help them stay on top of their game, no matter where they are on their journey.

Today, we aggregate the latest articles, podcasts, reports, and more on our website and across our social networks from a diverse group of industry leaders, covering key topics - from benchmarking, market trends, fundraising, and fund management to investment strategy and ESG & Diversity.

We also run the Origins Podcast with Notation Capital, co-hosted by Nicholas Chirls (Partner at Notation Capital) and Beezer Clarkson (Partner at Sapphire Partners). Through a series of interviews, we explore what has historically been an opaque corner of the startup ecosystem and learn how the people behind the capital make decisions.
